Organizing 1: Bins and shelves in cabinet over dining table

The cabinet over the dining table is quite large. It does not come with any shelves in order to use this space efficiently. Winnebago leaves the space open for your own innovation. We wanted to make this space super convenient to store a lot food for people and cats.

With careful measurements and trying out several bins to fit the space this is what we came up with to organize. Purchased a shelf from Lowes’s cut it to size and notched out the left side to allow for the cabinet swing arm. We used some Black L Brackets to secure it as we wanted a strong shelf. To make it easier to get to items stored we purchased plastic bins for the bottom and top that were a great size. A bit of trial and returns later we found the ones that worked best.

Organizing 2: Bins in overhead cabinets in bedroom

After some trial and several returns we found these bins that fit allowed for storing our clothes. Easier than just stacking the shelf.

Purchased four of these Collapsible Fabric Storage Bins. They fit the space extremely well

Organizing 3: Rug under passenger seat – tool storage

The Ford Transit provides storage space under the passenger seat. You need to retract the seat all the way forward to get to this storage space. We found we could easily store all our tools and some supplies in this space. We purchased an inexpensive small black door mat from Walmart to put in this space. It allowed to quiet any noise from the tools while driving.

The tool roll is from Atlas 46 Original Yorktown which is well made. We carry a good assortment of metric and standard tools.

Organizing 4: Hooks installed in bedroom

Needing a place to hang a few things we installed Matte Black Wall Hooks on the passenger side wall in bedroom. Allows for hanging jacket, hats, backpack, etc.

Organizing 5: Bedroom driver side storage

Feature of the EKKO is that the twin beds on both the passenger and driver side lift on hydraulic arms. This gives you access to the storage underneath.

On the driver’s side bedroom under bed storage we purchased a laundry basket. In front of the laundry basket we used shelf pins to install a totally removable shelf as the water pump is located at the bottom of this cabinet that you need to access. We use this Laundry Backpack to carry to laundry rooms.

We added two Linen Fabric Storage Baskets for Shelves after trying several to find a good fit.

Organizing 6: Bathroom Organizing

The EKKO bathroom uses a European style movable wall which is very innovative. An important feature that allows much better use of the bathroom space in a small motorhome.

Added two Adjustable Hanging Storage with 3 Bins Organizer over the bathroom door and two 3M Command Hooks (paid link).

Also added a Steel Wire Sink Organizer over the bathroom moveable shower wall. Used heavy duty Velcro to attach small toilet brush we purchased at Walmart. Store chemicals in a pouch behind the toilet.

Organizing 7: Water Resistant felt in metal trays under beds and under stove cabinet

Used water resistant under sink mat under stove cabinet and in the metal trays under the beds to mostly quiet any noise from items stored in these areas while driving.

Organizing 8: Command hooks installed in several places

Used 3M Command hooks in bathroom, dining area and near coach door. Great for hanging hats, keys, towels, etc. Purchased at Lowe’s and Amazon.

Organizing 9: Kitchenware Storage

For convenience and to stop the noise from forks, spoons, etc while driving we store them in a zippered case that we keep in the top drawer under the sink.

Under stove cabinet we store a compact Keurig K-Mini Plus Single Serve K-Cup Coffee Maker as well as an electric kettle and pour over coffee filter. Our pots are nesting Magma 7 piece non-stick that are high quality and also good for induction cooktops we also carry.

In the same space we have an Immersion Hand Blender, Microwave Popcorn Popper, Foldable Dish Tub, mini Waffle Maker, two Hydro Flask Plate and Platters and a RidgeMonkey Sandwich Toaster. All fits with room to spare.

Organizing 10: Beds

One of the important issues for us when shopping RVs was we did not want a “puzzle-bed” that needed to be setup and made and unsetup and unmade every day! The EKKO permanent twin beds are approximately around 32 x 75 inches (cot size). The center cushions can be added to make a larger than queen width size sleeping area. We purchased a mattress protector and 4 PC Cot Size Sheets Set 32×75 for each of the twin beds. If it is super hot we can use just the sheets.

On top of the sheets we use RVSuperbags that we highly recommend. The RVSuperbags are 42 x 80 inch and act as a bed spread. They are quite unique and have removable Velcro sheets and offer summer and winter sides. They zipper, but are way more practical and comfortable than a regular sleeping bag. We purchased ours with 300 Threadcount 100% Cotton Sheets. Making the bed was never easier. They are pricey, but well worth it and will last for many years.

On top of the RVSuperbags we have some inexpensive throw blankets purchased at Walmart that our cats love. They also serve as an extra blanket.

Organizing 11: Bug Zapper

Added a small command hook near doorway to hang a small rechargeable bug zapper/light. Helps to get rid of pests that get into the RV.

Organizing 12: Flashlight/Worklight

Added a LED rechargeable magnetic work light (paid link) to kitchen area. Mounted on switch panel that is metal. Fits perfectly.

Organizing 13: Shelf Over Sink Compartment

Added removable shelf over sink compartment. When we carry our 3 quart Instant Pot the shelve is removable to allow it to be stored.

Organizing 14: Fire Blanket

We received a thoughtful “RV warming” gift. Or you can say a “cooling” gift in an emergency fire blanket. Just used a magnetic hook to mount.

In the unfortunate event that we have a fire we can use this to snuff it out. We also carry fire extinguishers which we hope we never have to use.
